Born in Digby, Nova Scotia, on March 31, 1961. Passed away on November 4, 2024, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
Tom was predeceased by his brother, Kelly. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Connie Lucas; father, Dr. Allan Posthuma; brother, Michael; sisters, Anna and Cleo; as well as his nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was a member of the Canadian Falcon Fairlane Comet Club for over 30 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Deas Island Regional Park, Fisher’s Field Picnic Shelter.

Tom and I grew up in Ladner and attended school together which seems so long ago in the 70,s. We’ve been friends for that long and both of us held the same interests in classical cars. We shared the same political views and thought identical when it came to many topics. Tom was sharp as a whip and had his own mind. I will miss our many discussions and laughter together. Mostly I will miss the dropping by his house while tinkering on our cars and running into him year after year at tons of car shows. I am proud to be his friend and will cherish the times we had in our youth and in later years. My condolences to Conny and the family. RIP Tom. Regrettably I will be out of the country on the day of Tom’s celebration of life so I would ask if my name could be written in the book. Thank you Egon Ressel
