It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Suzanne Giesbrecht who went to be with Jesus on June 28 at the age of 73 in Chilliwack, BC.
Born on June 5, 1953 in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico. She grew up in Manitoba, Alberta and Ontario.
Suzanne will be remembered for her passion for travel, photography and painting. She had an unwavering love for the Lord and her family and will be remembered as a devoted prayer warrior who faithfully lifted others in prayer. Suzanne was known for her quiet strength and love for animals. She always had a wise word of counsel.
She is survived by her husband Dr. Ron Giesbrecht, daughter Paige Mackintosh and her husband Ryan Mackintosh (grandchildren Claire and Kaia Mackintosh), daughter Alexandria Giesbrecht and son Ben Giesbrecht.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the medical staff at Chilliwack General Hospital Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit for their compassion and support.
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen”. 1 Peter 5:10-11

My deepest condolences to Ron, Ben, Alexandria, Paige, Ryan, Claire and Kaia. My thoughts and prayers are with each one of you.
One of my favourite memories is a sisters weekend we spent several years ago. We walked to Jericho Beach, talking about life, then came home and made Vietnamese salad rolls with peanut sauce together. She often talked about that weekend and how much fun it was.
