Steve Szakacs, 90, of Maple Ridge British Columbia, passed away on June 29 2026.
He was born in Kapuvar, Hungary, on June 1st 1936. Steve worked as a floor layer for almost 40 years before retiring in 1995 to enjoy gardening, various home improvements, and his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Sarolta Szakacs, his children Kathy (Ben) MacCulloch, Sheldon (Karen) Seager, and Eric Seager and his four grandchildren Leo MacCulloch, Frank Seager, Aidan MacConachie and Aylee MacConachie.
A service will be held on July 25 2026 at 11 a.m. at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. 12145 Laity street, Maple Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests attendees donate to the church, or a charity of their own choosing.

We will miss Steve. Whenever we had the pleasure of spending time with him, his smile and caring ways always touched our hearts. We are so sorry for your loss, Sarolta and family.
