Stephanie Rosalee Mitchell
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce that Stephanie Rosalee Courteen-Nurse, 39, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, in Maple Ridge, BC which was her home of many years.
Stephanie was born on May 6, 1982, in Kamloops, BC, the daughter of Richard and Faith Courteen-Nurse. Stephanie was a loving and compassionate person who touched many lives. She had many friends and loved her family. Stephanie was able to experience one of life’s greatest joys, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy she named Gavin on July 27, 2004. She loved her son fiercely.
Stephanie is survived by her son Gavin, mother Faith Courteen-Nurse, father Richard Courteen-Nurse, stepmom Barb Courteen- Nurse, brothers David Courteen-Nurse, Corey Roberts and Jeremy Laube, sisters Katelyn Roberts and Brittany Mann as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Stephanie is predeceased by her husband Mitch, her cousins Casey, Tyler and Joey, maternal grandmother Ida and paternal grandmother Molly.
Stephanie was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She had the most beautiful smile and as her sister Katelyn said, “she was always the happiest in the room and made sure when she entered the room all you saw was her infectious joy, she made anyone feel loved.”
When you think of Stephanie, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
