With love and sadness, we announce the passing of Stefania
Janus on October 6, 2025, at the age of 97.

Born in Poland, Stefania was one of ten siblings whose life
was guided by faith, resilience, and deep devotion to family. In
1989, she immigrated to Canada. In 1991 she settled in
Burnaby, British Columbia, where she began a new chapter
filled with grace, courage, and generosity of spirit.

A beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and
friend, Stefania was known for her elegance, warmth, and
gentle humor. She had a lifelong love of travel and
adventure, and she delighted in connecting with people
wherever she went. Her home was always open - a place of
hospitality, laughter, and care, where family and friends
gathered to share stories, meals, and joy.

Stefania’s faith and love for life inspired all who knew her. She
is survived by 2 of her 3 children, her sister, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren,
and many dear friends.

Her love, spirit, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all
who knew her. She often said, “Take care of yourself, and go
with God.” 🤍 🕊

Auntie Stefcia Touched All Our Hearts.
She devoted her long and beautiful life to her family, remaining a constant presence through generations - children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The proof of this was in how deeply she was included in everyone’s lives. She never lost her Polish roots and cherished traditions, celebrating them with love and faith. With age comes wisdom, and she carried hers with grace. She was fun, loving, and had a cheeky sense of humour; she adored adventures and embraced life fully. I feel lucky to have known her and to have spent such wonderful time with her in Canada. I am grateful for her presence in my life, and my side of the family will hold her dear in our hearts forever.🤍
