It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
She will be greatly missed by her late brother James and younger brother Greg (Lucy) along with her daughters Angela (Don), Kimberly (Larry), Randa and Esme (Ryan).
Sandra passed away on November 10, 2023 at Ridge Meadows Hospital after a short battle with cancer. She worked at Metro Vancouver for over 15 years where she was cherished and will be greatly missed by many who knew her and considered her family.
Sandra was truly the heart of our family and would do anything to help and support everyone she knew without hesitation. She loved to laugh, had a fabulous sense of humour and a beautiful smile. She had an amazing imagination and will be remembered for her love of crafts whether it be ceramics, painting, or card making to name just a few. She loved her dogs over the years and chose her latest fur baby, who she named Poppy.
She will be remembered for her positive spirit, lifelong curiosity, and all the love and strength she brought to our lives. Her warm, caring, unwavering courage was a true inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be forever and always our beautiful lady in pink. We love you.
At Sandra’s request, no service will be held. If desired, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.

I’m glad that Mum is no longer suffering, and still truly sorry for your loss. As Jan-Michelle wrote, she was one tough lady right to the end and passed on her own terms. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. Randa, Esme, Kim and Angie, may you find comfort in your memories. You are all in my thoughts…

I'm so sorry for your loss Randa, Esme, Kim and Angela, she is one tuff lady, its true she would do anything for you, she helped me out during a tuff time in my life, loved her art work, she would make you laugh or give you that look, you know the look, she will be missed in so many ways. Sandra was indeed loved and cherished by those who knew her. She was of the first friendly faces I met when I started working at Metro Vancouver and she remained a friend until her passing. Even though I’m way across the country, we still kept in touch regularly.
I will miss her greatly and her family will be in my prayers.
