Ruth Norberg (nee Willie) born 14th. November 1923 to Edward and Christina Willie in North Kamloops died peacefully on St.Valentine’s Day after a long struggle with dementia in Inglewood Care Centre.

She is survived by her daughter Nicola, son-in-law Robert and grandson Jasper.

Ruth was the youngest of six children and was brought up and educated in North Kamloops. She spent her life in Public Service and married her husband Albin Carl Norberg in 1945.

She worked in the Water Rights Department in Kamloops and ran an antique shop in her spare time.

Her husband Al died in 1985 and Ruth soon after moved to Vancouver to be close to her daughter and grandson.

We were delighted to receive good wishes from King Charles III and Queen Camilla as well as the Governor General, Mary Simon on the occasion of her 100th. Birthday.

With many thanks to the staff at Inglewood Care Centre who caringly and lovingly soothed her through her last years.
