Ronald "Ron" Darville passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, at the age of 72. Born on May 18, 1954, in Montreal, Quebec, Ron was the eldest of eight children.
A longtime employee of Petro-Canada in Maple Ridge, Ron was respected by his customers and colleagues for his strong work ethic, kindness, and willingness to help others. He had a remarkable ability to adapt to life's challenges and was known for sharing his knowledge with anyone eager to learn.
Ron enjoyed keeping busy, whether walking through the community with a coffee in hand, woodworking, building LEGO creations, listening to music, or preparing homemade meals and baked treats for family and friends.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Mark, Eric, Jessica (Chris), and Nancy; his cherished grandson, Carter; the mother of his children, Louise; his siblings; and many extended family members and friends.
Ron will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, generosity, and sense of humour.

It’s been a long time, but some memories feel like yesterday. Life took us on a completely different paths and many miles apart. I do think of the time when you came to mom‘s with Louise. You both were presented with a beautiful handmade Afghan, made by mom. You were so pleased to have received it as a wedding gift. Rest in internal peace dear brother, Ron.

One of the first memories that come to mind about Ron is when he worked at a candle factory in Montreal, about 1976/77.
I went to visit him there, and he showed from beginning to end, how to make these very elaborate candles. This proves another example of his creativity, talent, and skills.
Rest in peace with God.
