Ronald James Doerksen quietly passed away in his sleep, in Mission at T.R.I.M., on December 12, 2025, after a long battle with liver disease and cancer.
Ron was born on February 18, 1947, in Mission B.C. to Margaret and Herman Doerksen. Ron grew up with his 7 brothers and sisters and as he got older, spent time with his family and all of his nieces and nephews. Ron loved his family.
Ron enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, tinkering on cars, skiing and spending time with friends and family. Ron was a hardworking, creative, kind, helpful human being. He was multitalented. Ron could sew a Halloween costume, rebuild a car motor, build a house , paint a portrait and cook a great steak. There was not much Ron could not do, while he was able he lived life.
Ron is survived by his wife Nancy, his two children Jodi and Tyron and his three grandchildren Tegin, Ilia and Katelynn. As well, his many brothers and sisters and their families.
Thank you to all the staff at the Mission hospital and T.R.I.M.
There will be no funeral at this time, a gathering will be held later this year.

On behalf of the 'Class of '64 & Friends', I would like to send you our sincerest condolences. Please know that our love and prayers go out to you, as you work thru' your grief. Even tho' your hearts feel sad and empty, right now, in time, the pain and emptiness will be replaced with all the wonderful memories that you created over the years. That's when the healing begins.
