In loving memory of Robert James Herbert Blackwell.

Robert was born on May 6th, 1965, at Chilliwack, BC, and passed away on February 14th, 2026, at New Westminster, BC.

He was welcomed with great joy and celebration by his mother, Lila, his father, Robert Sr. (Bob), brothers, Thomas and Daniel, and sisters Mitzi and Valerie.

Robert loved spending time going on many adventures around the Fraser Valley with his family and friends.

Robert loved to spend time traveling in the natural beauty of BC, often finding extraordinary spots to explore and visit with family and friends.

In his early years, times were spent at Cultus Lake, playing on the beach, swimming, and enjoying picnics with the family.  Another favorite family activity was going to Boundary Bay or White Rock.

Robert also expanded his love of traveling to other destinations in the world.

Robert moved to Edmonton as a young adult, after graduating.  From there, he moved to the Vancouver area, and then finally settled in New Westminster.

Robert was kind, caring, and generous to others.  This was reflected in his choice to work in the hospitality industry.  He spent 36 plus years serving others with his calm and sincere presence.  We will never forget his laughter, sense of humor, and a smile that could light up any room.

Robert was predeceased by his mother, Lila, father, Robert, brother, Thomas, and sister, Mitzi.  He is survived by his brother, Daniel Blackwell, and sister Valerie Pentz (Michael Pentz), his many nieces and nephews, and the many friends he met through his journey in life.
