Robert "Bob" William Murdoch, 71, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2023, at his home in Maple Ridge. He was born on February 25, 1952, in Vancouver, to Moira and Jack Murdoch.
Bob lived life in the fast lane, whether it was skiing, boating, or driving! He was a devoted father, always there with love, guidance, and support for his sons, Andrew and Scott. For those of us who have been blessed to have been able to call Bob a son, husband, father, brother, uncle, or friend, words cannot be found for what is lost to us, but his stories and memories will live on.
Bob is reunited with his parents and sisters, Janet McFarlane and Cathy Laity, in heaven. He is survived by his loving wife and partner of 38 years, Cindy, as well as his sons, Andrew and Scott (Gina). He also leaves behind his father-in-law, Rene (Janice), and cherished brothers and sisters-in-law.
A celebration of Bob's life will take place on November 4th, 2023, at 2:30 pm at Eagles Hall, 23461 Fern Crescent, Maple Ridge. Please join us as we remember and honor Bob's remarkable journey.

My sincere condolences to Cindy, Andrew, Scott and Gina,
I met Bob when we were in our late teens. He drove a sapphire blue ‘62 Corvette that everyone was so envious of!
Bob had a close association with Andrew White, grandson of Chunky Woodward. Bob even worked on their Douglas Lake Ranch. Bob was a member of our ‘Minky Crew’ and attended many of our annual fishing trips — he even arranged for a special one at the ranch.
In our early 20’s, we hiked the West Coast trail. All of a sudden, he lost his footing on the slippery trail and disappeared down a steep gully. Fearing the worst, I was surprised to hear his cheery voice from below. He had used his skiing skills and landed upright without even hurting himself!
In 1978, we started a specialty advertising business together called PM Promotions and worked well together. Bob always loved being out on the water — especially on his 24’ Sea Ray.
Bob was a loyal, long term friend in life who also became very close friends with my late brother, Michael. He had a very caring heart and will be fondly remembered.

Bob was a friend as well as a son-in-law. His passing was far too sudden and certainly unexpected. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. He was a good man. Rest well my friend

So sorry to,hear about Bob’s sudden passing. I go back a long way with this family and Bob was so likeable and full of fun as a
young boy. He is now reunited with his family and they will embrace him. So much sadness in the last while, for this family, but
