Ria Maria Mulders age 91 passed away peacefully at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital on January 20,2024.
Ria was born in Bamberg Germany on March 12, 1932 in the midst of WWII. After her mother lost her life when their home was bombed she was taken in by the Nuns. Ria later became a Nurse and while working at the hospital she met Thaddeus Gerl. They emigrated to Canada in 1954 by ship and during the voyage they were married by the Captain. They had three children Monika, Bruce and Nina. She loved life, going dancing, singing and socializing. Ria will be missed by everyone that knew her.
She is survived by her son Bruce Gerl, daughter-in-law Sharon Gerl, and two grand children Shanelle Dat and Stefan Hassanali. Son-in-law Justin Beals and niece Addie Stein.
We will always remember your words be good to each other and be happy.
Rest peacefully my dear mother we will always remember and love you.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Like the seed buried in the ground, you have produced the harvest of eternal life for us; make us always dead to sin and alive to God. In Jesus name we pray.

Dear Mother I will miss you every day till I also pass. You were the perfect mom, would do anything for us kids and loved us with all your heart. I have learned so much from you through out the years, from how to cook, how to manage money and how to care for someone you love. Rest in peace mom you will be sadly missed. Love you forever Mom
