It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Peter Gibson.
Peter was a loving husband to his wife Brenda and proud father to Morgan (Mike) and Cory (Nicole), “Papa” to Maddie and Cooper, both of whom brought constant sunshine in his life.
Peter was also a friend and mentor to so many that crossed his path. He genuinely loved life, people and dogs.
Peter is predeceased by his parents Leslie and Elsie Gibson and his brother David.
Peter had a long career with Imperial Oil and subsequently as the General Manager of the North Shore Winter Club. He had a passion for all sport and in particular golf, and would enjoy many rounds, especially when retired. He loved his gym family and believed in fitness and health at all levels.
While Peter will be dearly missed, we know he will continue to live on in all our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 28th,2025 at the North Shore Winter Club between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Our family would love those that can attend to share in honoring Peter’s memory.

Peter was our neighbour for 20 years in North Vancouver. We had hundreds of conversations over lawn mowers and snow shovels over the years. He was always so upbeat and fun to talk to that I never minded when a 20 minute mow turned into an hour. But I quickly learned not to even try to keep up with the quality of his lawn.
Beyond the home front, we also golfed and shared the workout room at the NSWC. Peter was such a great asset to the club and the neighbourhood. And he raised a wonderful family (Morgan was our kids' favourite sitter).
Deb and I want to offer deep condolences to Brenda, Morgan, and Cory. We're grateful for the memories.

I knew Peter for over 35 years. We were co-workers at Imperial Oil from his arrival in B.C. in about 1987 or so. We kept in touch after Imperial and played golf together for many years during our retirements. We probably played a couple of hundred golf games together. He was always passionate about the game. He was a good and decent man. Rest easy my friend!
