Lawrence Abraham Elliott of New Westminster, BC passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2019 at the age of 89. Survived by his children: Barbara, Robert, Donna, and John; his many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Lawrence lived a full life, and enjoyed spending time in his community of Queensborough with friends and family. He will always be remembered for his resilience and passion for helping his community, great story telling of times passed (fueled with fiery debates), love of sweets and sweet people, and his favorite daily navy blue pants suit adorned with pens and notes. May Lorne Rest In Peace and be reunited with his loving wife in heaven, Anna Marie Elliott. Forever in our thoughts and prayers, and now joined together with his soulmate Ann- having tea and laughs together watching over us, as we celebrate their memory. We miss and love you both dearly.

Thank-you Stephen and Alice Scheving for your kind words and thoughts. We enjoyed to see you both at Timmy's and around town. Dad talked of you with much respect and admiration at the City Hall meetings and debates of course!! Life will never be the same without him....

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Lorne Elliott. We knew him as a passionate advocate for his Queensborough neighbourhood with a keen sense of justice. He often pointed out challenges to the livability of his neighbourhood that might be overlooked by Council or staff. He had a gruff exterior but tempered with compassion and humour. In later years, we sometimes saw him at Tim Hortons and became aware of his many deeds of volunteer service to those in need. We extend our condolences to his family.
