Predeceased by parents and sister Linda. Survived by husband Eino Vain of over 30 years. Brothers Gary (Wendy) Larry (Nancy) Brent and Randy. Born in Vancouver BC and grew up in Fraserview. Jo-Ann was a legal secretary in Vancouver for 34 years.

Don and I send our condolences to Eino and family. I love the picture you have chosen to post-it is the cousin I remember well. Always upbeat and positive. I have many childhood memories of going to her parents home at Christmas. Even though I did not see her in person much over the years, we did keep in touch by email and I will miss the jokes she would send through. RIP. Jo-Ann. I am certain there is a big party in Heaven celebrating your arrival. Love you, Melody

My deepest condolences to Eino and Jo-Ann’s family on their loss. I first me Jo-Ann when she became my legal secretary back in the 80’s. Even after we no longer worked together we remained friends until her death. I will miss seeing her on my next trip out west. Being with her was always a highlight. She was bubbly and adventurous in her own way. On a trip to Seattle she had us listening to the goings on in the next hotel room with glassware. When we saw a movie set in the 80’s she insisted we stop thinking it was ‘Tom Selmac’ And they thought we were extras and had us walk through the scene several times. She was a lot of fun despite any condition she was in. Will miss her.
