Jason died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in Surrey on May 14, 2026.

Born on February 16, 1974, in New Westminster, Jason was a kind and caring man whose wonderful sense of humor touched everyone who knew him. He took great pride in his work at Schnitzer Steel (Radius Recycling) and cherished summer weekends spent camping—and partying! —with friends. An avid football (soccer) fan, Jason faithfully supported Everton FC and enthusiastically cheered for both the Canadian and German national teams.

Jason is survived by his mother, Christine, and his brother, Ryan, along with many extended family members, friends, and work colleagues. He was preceded in death by his father, Grant.

A celebration of Jason’s life will be held at a later date in Surrey. Until then, please raise a glass of your favourite beverage—Jason’s was Budweiser—and join us in honoring his memory by reflecting on the moments and memories you shared with him.
