Iluminado Olivas Guillermo, fondly known as Ely, was born on March 2, 1940, and peacefully passed away on November 23, 2024, at the age of 84. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion as a cherished husband to Crisanta B. Raquino and a proud father to Edwin, Cris, Lory, and Joy.

Baking was not just Ely’s passion—it was his art. With the steadfast support of his wife and children, he turned his love for baking into a thriving family business, bringing joy to countless lives through his creations. Despite life’s challenges, Ely faced every obstacle with unwavering determination, embodying resilience, strength, and a deep sense of responsibility.

A final viewing to honor Ely’s remarkable life will be held this Friday, November 29, at 1:30 PM PST at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel & Crematorium in Maple Ridge, BC. Following this, he will be laid to rest in his beloved homeland, the Philippines.

Ely will be deeply missed, but his memory and the values he imparted will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
