Ilpo (Al) Niskakoski
June 13, 1964 – March 26, 2021
It is with profound sadness that the Niskakoski family announces the sudden passing of Ilpo (Al) Niskakoski.
Ilpo was the rock of the family and his love for his, Mother (Annikki), Father (Simo), Brother (Ike), Sister (Anne), Nephew (Josh), Partner (Cecilia), Great Niece (Mikah), Great Nephews (Nikolai & Luka), and Cousins, (Heli, David, Hilkka, Helen, and Hannelle), was the driving force for him every day and he lived each day to the fullest. His last day on this earth was spent being with the people who loved him and who he loved with all his heart.
He was a skilled carpenter, a loving son, a protective brother and uncle, a warm and generous person who will be missed beyond words.
Be with the angels, Ilpo.

I met Ilpo in 1990 I was clearing land and building my house on Westwood Plateau. Ilpo worked up the street installing cement stairs. He frequently came down to see us as we built our home. I employed Ilpo on and off for many years. He visited me daily in Coquitlam and then in Maple Ridge. He loved my kids and especially my daughter Kimberly, he was the only person who could actually hold her without her screaming he watched her grow into a teenager. We lost track of Ilpo as he found someone to spend his life with. It's funny he told me so many stories about his family I feel like I know them. He loved his mother and her cooking and was very proud of his father and he skills his dad handed down to him in carpentry. Sorry to hear he passed my condolences to the family. Jocelyn

Though we had not seen Ilpo for many years we have thought about him often
We spent many years together and have so many memories of good times I’m sure our friends and family members who arrived first provided a warm welcome You will be missed

Our wonderful cousin has passed too early. He is remembered with a lot of love. A wonderful human being, and will be sadly missed. My sincerest condolences to his family.....this is a great loss! With much love,
