We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Nana, Hannelore ( Laurie ) Lyndon, who slipped away peacefully in the early hours of June 7th, while residing at the Langley Lodge.
When she was a young girl, her family immigrated from Germany, settling in B.C. Years later she met and married William ( Bill ) Lyndon. She raised her family in the Lower Mainland, ending up on a Langley hobby farm in the late 70's. Laurie worked very hard taking care of the animals and chores the farm demanded, while never neglecting her home and family. She was a domestic engineer extraordinaire.
In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles, needlepoint, crocheting, good books and a couple favorite soap operas.
Following the untimely death of her husband, Laurie sold their beloved farm to pursue a simpler, less demanding lifestyle. She bought a small home and continued doing the things she loved, eventually moving to assisted living at Harrison Point, where she happily spent most of her remaining years.
Pre-deceased by her husband (Bill) and daughter in law (Karen) Survived by sons Erwin, Wayne (Delores), Donald (Lynda), and daughter Nancy (Randy) as well as her five grandchildren, Katie (Wayne), Shane, Allan, Dayton & Amber. She'll be greatly missed by her extended family and many good friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. For more information, please email dbltrouble40@hotmail.com.
