Gloria Lee
Write a TributeGloria Lee passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026. She chose to have MAiD and she wanted to share her last thoughts. What follows is a message in her own words:
Gloria was happily married to Geoff for nearly 60 years. Sadly, Geoff died in 2024 from ALS. Gloria was so grateful to have been able to travel and take more than 30 cruises with Geoff. Gloria loved visiting many countries to experience the food, culture, people and architecture. Gloria is very thankful for her daughter, Stephanie. Stephanie has always been there for us throughout our lifetimes. Stephanie cared for us and supported us for many years while we struggled with significant health challenges. During this time, she looked after the housework, yardwork, meal prep and attended to our health needs. Gloria wishes to thank Doug and Ellen for their kindness and friendship. In addition, Gloria wishes to thank her neighbors Phil, Candice and Braedon for their help and support.
At Gloria's request, there will be no service or celebration of life.

My wife Ellen and I would like to express our deepest sympathies on learning about Gloria's passing.
However, we understand that Gloria's health and overall quality of life have been poor in recent years. So we can take comfort in knowing that her suffering has ended. Also we are certain that she has reunited with Geoff.
I came to know Gloria through my relationship with Geoff. He was part of my ping pong group that
met once a week for games and laughter. Together we grew into a larger social group that met
occasionally for meals, celebrated New Year's Eve parties, and took trips together. Two cruises that
come to mind are a Scandinavian cruise and a Pacific Coast cruise. I recall the energy and the curiosity
that both Geoff and Gloria showed on those cruises.
I will remember Gloria as a kind, good-natured person with a great sense of humour and a lot of
common sense. We had similar political views and shared our disdain for the actions and behavior of a certain American president. We also shared a common support for our local sports teams, the Canucks
and the Lions. Whenever we saw each other we would discuss the problems of the teams and what they should do to solve them.
Gloria and I also shared an interest in the Chinese Canadian experience in Canada. We both recognized
the contributions of our Chinese ancestors to Canada. And we wanted to keep their memories alive. We liked to share with each other any YouTube videos we found on the topic.
I will miss Gloria's friendship over the past decades. I will cherish the items of Geoff's that she gifted
me. Whenever I see them I will think of both of them. May they rest in peace.
