Gladys Muriel Kennedy (our Mom), a pillar of strength, stoicism, energy, and unyielding positivity, died peacefully in her home on November 6, 2024. Born on February 26, 1934, in Baldwinton, Saskatchewan, Mom was one of a family of eight, seven sisters and one brother.

Mom will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Lori (Gary), Debbie, and Hugh, her Grandchildren Craig, Brennan, Kelsey and Kate, Great Grandchildren Brynley, Finnley, Maisie, Kensley, Ava and Maddie. She leaves behind three siblings, Sandy, Lovetta and Maryann, who she loved dearly and remained close to until the end. She is joined in rest by her husband, Hugh along with many other loved ones throughout her life. 

Among Mom’s most significant accomplishments was raising her three children, whom she held as her pride and joy. She was an incredibly hard worker, both inside and outside of the home. Mom was a chef, an amazing baker, gardener, avid walker, voracious reader, bowler and traveller. In retirement, she gathered an incredible group of friends to join her on her adventures.

Mom’s loss is deeply felt by her immense family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
