It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father on April 15, 2026.
Geoff was a devoted and proud father to his twin daughters, Paige Williams (Luke) and Mercedes Hamilton (Matthew), and his daughter Melanie Hamilton (Jason), who meant everything to him. His love for them was constant and unwavering, and he took immense pride in the women they became.

He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in nature—whether kayaking on the water or simply spending time outside exploring local trails.

Geoff was a valued field hockey coach and mentor, dedicating his time to guiding and supporting others through the coaching, playing and umpiring pathways via the Tri City Eagles Field Hockey Club. Although quiet, Geoff had a huge presence within the club.

He was also a passionate hockey enthusiast, attending many games in person and watching from home on TV when he wasn’t able to attend.

Professionally and personally, he was known as the “IT guy”—someone people could always turn to for help. His passion for computers and technology was evident to everyone who knew him, and he was always willing to lend his knowledge and expertise.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to help others, and the quiet strength he carried through his life and its many hurdles. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving father whose greatest joy was his daughters.

He is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.
