It’s with immense sadness we announce the sudden passing of Eric.
Eric was a one-of-a-kind person, everyone he met or had the pleasure of knowing him knew this. His smile could brighten your day, or his huge sense of humour would make you laugh.
Eric is predeceased by his father Jan de Zeeuw.
Eric leaves behind his loving wife Laverne, children Curtis (Zoe,) Lisa (Trevor,) grandchildren Spencer, Dylan, Jillian, Cheyenne, Kaylis, Deklan. As well as his mother Betsy and brothers Roeland (Pam,) Paul, Rob, Pat (Olivia,) and twin sister Esther and nephews Nicholas, Trevor, Cullen, Jesse, Peter, and nieces Jordana, Sophia, Leah and many extended family and friends.
There will be a gathering to celebrate Eric on July 20, 2024, at 1pm at Silverdale Hall 8760 McLean St, Mission BC.
In lieu of flowers donations to the SPCA are appreciated.

I was brand new to Whonnock at the age of 10. Eric reached out and came to find me and offered friendship as only he could do...genuinely and ever so kindly. Our relationship grew over the course of 50 some odd years. We shared a shoulder...one for another. We laughed and we cried together. I will never have a friend like him again. I know for a fact that I will miss him for all of my days. Sleep easy my best and dearest friend ♥

I am so sorry to hear this. Eric was a huge part of my early life to young adult hood, thanks to my friendship with Lisa.
