Eileen Dawn Patterson (Stutzman)
Write a TributeEileen Dawn Patterson (Stutzman) of Maple Ridge, BC, passed peacefully at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital on March 28, 2026.
Eileen was the chosen daughter of Nathan and Velda Stutzman, and the little sister that Sharon and Dennis always wanted! Eileen loved growing up on the farm and loved the animals, especially the cats and horses. She could entertain herself for hours playing with cats in the barn or riding horses in the corral. These loves she carried through her whole life!
More than anything, her family was her deepest love! She would do anything for her children and was determined that they each wear that graduation cap and gown.
Among those she leaves to cherish her memory are Neil; her children Dustin, Sheldon, Brianne and Josh; sister, Sharon (Ed), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and so many friends.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Nathan and Velda Stutzman, brother Dennis, and daughter, Caylee.
Eileen was blessed with an artistic talent and will be remembered for the amazing handmade cards that she created for every occasion on the calendar and will be treasured by those who received them.
Eileen loved spending time in her yard, tending to her beautiful flowers and plants. She loved to sit in her back yard and watch the antics of her cats.
She will be missed dearly!

Dearest Neil, Family, and Friends,
Eileen is a Beautiful Person who will be Beautifully remember and missed! I wish I could help heal the brokenness in all your hearts but know that you are all loved and the memories of Eileen will live forever in your hearts. She always wore a grand smile that was infectious to all. Beautiful memories of time spent in the Dominican Republic on the Landa trip (picture attached), in 2014! I am so grateful that fate and God allowed our paths to cross and I pray that as the days pass and the pain diminishes, though I know it will never fully go away, you can smile at the little things that remind you of Eileen: A flower in the wind, a bird in the air, a sunrise and a sunset. Know that Beth and I will continue to pray comfort upon you all and we shall always cherish any time spent with Eileen! We love you!

Eileen, dear dear cousin… You were part of my morning routine every Wednesday for the last 3 years. We talked (and talked and talked!) on the phone and never knew where our conversations would wander off to. That was the magic of it… nothing was off limits.
No matter how you were feeling, you always had time and space for your kids and your kid’s friends… no matter what shape they were in.
You are sooo missed! ❤️❤️❤️ …Florence

Eileen, you were such a wonderful neighbor and friend. I will always cherish our long conversations—whether we were standing in the front yard, chatting over the backyard fence, or calling to each other from our balconies (and yes, occasionally even sitting down) 🩷
I admired how open you were to every kind of conversation. I’ll never forget when I asked if my quirky sense of humor and squirreliness might be distracting or annoying—you smiled and told me it was part of my charm. That meant more to me than you knew.
You spoke so often about your family, and it was impossible not to see how deeply you loved them. The pride and joy on your face whenever you talked about them said it all, (sometimes the.. give me strength face LOL 💕) You were truly an incredible mother, wife and friend.
You will be deeply missed by so many.Halloween will not be the same without you.
Love you always, Eileen. Rest in peace, my dear friend 🩷
