Don Curtis, born March 9, 1968, in Calgary, Alberta. Though he left this world just days before his birthday, Don went home to be with Jesus on March 7, 2026, comforted by the presence of his family after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Don was the youngest of eight children, born to Neil and Dorothy Curtis, who predeceased him. Growing up in a large family helped shape his strong sense of loyalty, humour and love for those closest to him.

Don was a son, a brother, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Debbie, whom he cherished deeply. He was also a caring stepfather to her sons, Clayton (wife Stephannie) and Raymond (partner Maya). He is also lovingly remembered by his daughter, Samantha and her fiancé Eric.

Don found immense joy in being a grandpa to Clayton and Stephannie’s three daughters, Livia, Maura, and Minke. Their laughter and love brought him endless pride and happiness.

Don’s life was defined by the relationships he built and the kindness he showed to those around him. He had a way of making people feel welcome and valued, and he will be remembered for his warmth, strength, and the love he shared with family and friends.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 25, 2026 at Life Spring Church (3970 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC) at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Lung Cancer Society of Canada, linked here.
