It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Deborah Payment. She was born in Cornwall ON and left this world in Surrey BC after battling Parkinson’s for a dozen years. Deb is predeceased by her parents William and Vivian. Our Deborah leaves behind a heartbroken family and will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Left to mourn are her partner Dan Wainwright, daughter Jaclyn (Chris), her precious grandson Riley Walsh, sisters Wendy (Ray) and Penny (Gord), step-son James McCrum and step-grandkids Jaxson & Rosie. Auntie to Darren Sigouin, Kyle Sigouin (Brenna), Danielle Benard (Lou), and Dalton Benard, and Great Auntie to Nova, Zoey, Kaelum, Ellie, Amelia and Wesley.
Deborah was an ardent Union supporter, retiring as a Business Rep for the CEU in 2015. She was an extremely generous woman, giving her time and energy to help those less fortunate. Deb genuinely cared about people and dedicated herself to making a difference wherever she saw injustice or unfairness, and she did. She was presented the 2014 Joy Langon award for her dedication to; the labour movement, community support, and social justice. Deborah had a beautiful soul and she’s been described as: Passionate, Compassionate, Clever, Astute, Devoted, Persistent, Eloquent, Loving, and Brave.
We’d also like to express our gratitude to the great people at Guildford Seniors Village for helping bring some joy to Deb’s final years. A celebration of life event will be planned for later this summer, please contact the family for details.

I just learned of Deb's passing...........what a loss for us all. Deb was a wonderful and dear friend...........we worked together for years in Richmond and I always enjoyed her amazing smile, delightful attitude towards everything and everybody, it was such an honour to work with her and be her friend. I am so saddened by her loss.
