It is with heavy hearts that the Family of Dan Dorman announces his sudden and unexpected passing.
Danno, Dan The Man, Danny Boy will be sorely missed. His infectious laugh, His generous heart, there was so much life in the Man. He was a magician with his hands, creating so many amazing things.
Dan had so many wonderful road trips, fishing adventures in his boat “The Relic” and looked forward to his days off at home renovating and fixing things at his home or the homes of the people he loved to spend time with. Dan worked in Contracting mostly concrete work and left his touch on buildings big and small across central and western Canada
Dan is at peace now. After a life full of, Love, Laughter and continual Leaning, Dan still fought his demons, like us all, but no matter what, Dan was always there for those many people he Loved.
To welcome him home, His Mother Patricia Dorman, Father Thomas Dorman, Mother-In-Law Lorraine Riel, Aunty Kit Mckernan.
Left behind with broken hearts are His soul mate and Best Friend for over 30 years Louise Draeger and Son Jacob Dorman, his Beautiful Sisters, Melody Taylor, Denise Dorman, beloved nephews, Jason, Mathew and Jordan. Niece, Rachel and great niece, Alice whom he adored. All of Dan’s cousins whom he regarded as his brothers: Sam, Paul aka Tick, Mike Mckernan, Tim and Bryan Mckernan. And all of his countless friends he collected over the years of his life who he always tried to keep in touch with.
In lieu of Flowers, a Donation in Dan’s Name to Alouette Addictions Services in Maple Ridge would be appreciated.

Did I ever tell you about the time he stuck a pretzel on his ear and a piece of it broke off in there? I had to phone 311 to get help to get it out because he didn't want to wait in emerg and have to tell them what he did. I was laughing so hard I couldn't tell the lady on the phone so Dan had to do it. After a couple of hours of shaking his head and hitting the other side it finally popped out. I don't think I ever laughed so hard. I don't know what was funnier me trying to get the words out to tell her what happened or watching your uncle Dan trying to get the thing out
