It is with great sadness that we, the family of Charity Samantha Fick of Surrey BC, announce her passing on May 30, 2023 at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Born June 25, 1980 in Vancouver BC, Charity was the second born daughter to Jean Kerr and Les Meszaros.
Charity was a Mother, Daughter, Granddaughter, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, Friend and a Badass OCR competitor. She leaves behind daughters Sierra, Brandi and Samantha; parents Jean and Les; grandmothers Edith and Mary; sisters Bridgett and Amanda; brother Derek; nephews David, Austin, Nicolas, Damien, Dashee and William; nieces Darryn, Kailani, Savannah; sister-in-laws Liza and Deanne; brother-in-law Brad; in-laws Claudette and Ed; cousins Brad, Brian, John and Sandra and a countless number of friends. Charity is predeceased by her grandparents Olga and James Kerr, and Robert Boyd; aunts Nancy Gunsten and Barb Kenmuir; and her uncle Richard Kenmuir.
When Charity wasn't spending time with her daughter, Sierra, or her two favorite fur children (Baby Yoda and Gizzy), she was working on building her own business (Believe in Yourself Nutrition). You could find her gearing up for one of the many OCR races she enjoyed. She would train for weeks and weeks on end just for that one special day of her latest race. Charity wasn't afraid to get down and dirty in the mud.
Seawheeze, Tough Mudder, The Vancouver Sun run, The Color Run, Color Me Rad, Spartan Race, Foam Fest, Electro Dash, and BMO Vancouver Marathon are just a few of the many races that Charity enjoyed competing in.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you consider donating to Wounded Warriors Canada or to the Go-Fund-Me page, set up by Tara Logue, by using the link below (to help fund further education for Sierra).

Charity,
Oh how I miss you - you're making me cry as I write this. You were such a badass Mom and sister. I love you so much! Brad and I will do our damndest to make sure that Sierra will always know how much You loved her. You have raised one hell of a little lady! I will give her all the hugs and kisses for you! Your memory will always live on through Sierra. You were not alone when you passed - Bridgett and I were with you. You had the biggest smile on your face right before you passed - It was so beautiful to see <3 We may not have seen eye to eye while we were growing up - however, I always looked up to you (even though I am taller then you lol). I hope you are somewhere without any pain.
The day you passed away, Brad William and I were walking at Mill Lake and we saw a dragonfly fly passed us. It landed on the ground right beside us. I took a picture of it and then William said "If you are Auntie Chi-Chi fly to me" and guess what? It flew at him! When we see Dragonfly's around we will know you are near <3
Every Mother's day I will do something special in your honour....and Don't worry - I am gonna keep my promise of getting a tattoo in your honour hahaha
I love you always <3
