Anna Mae Doris Bishop gracefully passed away in the early morning of Oct 2nd, 2023 with her youngest daughter by her side in Abbotsford, BC at the age of 84. Ann was born Feb 27th, 1939 to David and Anna Fraser in Strasbourg, Saskatchewan. In her youth, Ann worked at the Brandon Hospital in Manitoba before moving west to Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta where she worked for a shoe store modeling shoes (leading to a love for Italian leather and matching shoes and purses) and eventually came to BC. She lived in North Vancouver, Surrey and finally Abbotsford where she was bookkeeper for many years for the Park Hotel before buying and running a hotel and restaurant in Cranbrook BC. She later managed an apartment building in Vancouver before moving back to Abbotsford to live closer to her oldest son. Known for having impeccable style and fashion sense, Ann had a God given talent for finding treasures and making deals in every nook and cranny of any second-hand shop. Ann never met an animal who didn’t immediately love her, if you couldn’t find the cat or dog they were usually snuggled deep in her lap while she sipped ice-cold white wine or baileys and coffee. Ann had a knack for observing people and remembering details about everyone she met. Inquiring about family and friends even in her last few days, her mind was always on others. 

Ann will be exponentially missed by her children, Deborah (Dan), Guy (Myrena), Mark and Reda, Grandchildren Shauna, Michelle (Marc) and Crystal (Jonathan), Great Grandchildren Danny, Josh, Darien, Charley, Joe, Emma and Alena. She is survived by her brothers David (Jean), Barry (Pat) and sister Pam (Dennis) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her parents David and Anna Fraser, brothers Stan, Earl, Jack and Alex and sisters Heather and Elsie. May God grant her respite.
