Al Adams, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on August 6, 2023, in Maple Ridge, BC. He was born on February 20, 1933, in Victoria, BC. Al was a dedicated individual who led a fulfilling life.

Al began his career as a Draftsman at the Naval Dockyard in Esquimalt. In 1956, he ventured to Toronto to work on the Avro Arrow project. Eventually, he returned to the West Coast and became involved in the Hydraulics industry, where he designed innovative systems. Throughout his 36-year career, Al's work took him from the West Coast to the Maritimes, the Prairies, and back to the West Coast. Even after retiring, Al remained active as a consultant and teacher.

Aside from his professional achievements, Al had a passion for various hobbies. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. As time went on, he found solace in lake fishing with his friends. However, Al's greatest joy came from his dedication to the Masonic Lodge, where he was a committed member for 65 years. His dedication and commitment earned him the esteemed position of District Deputy Grand Master of District 28.

Al will be reunited with his much loved wife, Doris, and deeply missed by his children, grandchildren and great grandchild. Marty (Kaitlyn ( Isaac) Chelsea), Judie Longmuir (Bryan and Jamie), and Ryan (Sydney).

A celebration of life will be held in October to honor and remember Al's remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Al's name can be made to the Shriners, an organization he held close to his heart.

The legacy of Al Adams will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His dedication, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and community serve as an inspiration to us all.

May he rest in peace.
