Dearest Uncle Peter, Michael, Susan, and family, Our hearts break with yours as you deal with the immense sorrow and loss of your beloved Moni (Mom and Oma) She was truly Beautiful from the inside out. So many memories of our family with yours spending time out at Uncle Ewalds farm picking blue berries, laughing and enjoying. Dinners and get togethers always watching how Uncle Peter and Tante Moni were like two peas in a pod. Her love for Jesus, and her Family were evident in her actions. I admired that selfless love she had for those she encountered. I know she will be greatly missed by so many. May Jesus wrap His loving arms around you all and comfort your Hearts. May you know that your loss is Heavens gain as she's been welcomed Home, to her eternal home with Jesus, the angels and many who have gone before rejoicing at her homecoming. We watched the LiveStreamMemorial that honoured her life in such a Beautiful way, wishing so badly we could have been there to hug you all and just be there with you. It was my pleasure to have known Monica over past many years. She was a very a lovely and caring lady and we always enjoyed seeing her at our clinic as our patient. Our Oma. Peter and Monica reached out to this young momma of three littles ten years ago at a school playground while picking up their Molly. Their compassion, genuine love and positivity were electric and I immediately felt seen and deeply loved by God. This formed a friendship that became an anchor for my soul. They spoke into our lives in a way no one else could and became surrogate grandparents, Oma and Opa, as we had no family nearby. Monica’s wisdom and grace radically impacted the way I see the world and I know she is joyfully dancing with Jesus. Our prayers are with Peter and her family….she was the rock in so many lives. Dear Mike, Peter, Susie and all extended family,
What a profound shock to receive the sad news of Monica's passing. She was an absolute light in this world, and I am sure her radiant spirit will ripple on. My friendship with Mike has lasted along with the sands of time. We always pick up where we left off. It is as if time has stood still. Part of our conversations is a catch up of the Herrfurth family. It always gave me pleasure that Peter and Monica were enjoying their advanced years with health and energy. This after a valued and productive life. Monica and Peter got to enjoy Susie and her family up close. And Mike always made time to keep the close family unit cohesion by his visits. I know how proud Monica was of Mike and Susie. May all the warm memories of her give each of you comfort. With a heavy heart and deep respect, I offer our condolences.
