Grace Danroth,  October 11th 1930 to May 4th 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Grace Danroth, on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022. Grace is survived by her three loving children, Linda (John), Donna, and John ( Andreen), her grandchildren, Lindsay, Jake and Megan and her great granddaughters, Lia and Lily.  She was also blessed to have the love and companionship of her good friends JoAnn and Corey Thompson and their two children Jamie and Preston, who were like grandchildren to her.

Grace was the 7th of nine children and she has one surviving brother (Willy), who lives in Kamloops. She also has many nieces and nephews living throughout the province.

Until recently, Grace lived a very happy and full life with many friends and lots of social events such as family activities, weekly outings on her scooter, lunches and playing cards at least twice a week with her card groups.  She will be missed terribly by all of her family and friends.

We will be spreading her ashes at Whistler, which was her wish, as she wanted to be close to where we love to be and in this way she will be there too, forever spending time with us.

We will be planning a celebration of her life sometime this summer 2022.

I feel vey honoured and humbled to have met and shared time with Grace. Our ‘relationship ‘ focused around games of canasta. Always lots of fun, lots of laughter. Grace outplayed me pretty much every time I played with her (so I was happy when she was my partner), and I always learned from her. She was a gracious, kind, and loving person. She will be be missed by so very many. Hope you’re playing those 400 hands, Grace 😂

RIP Aunt Grace. We didn't see you often but always enjoyed our visits when we did. You had a special chuckle and a huge hug♥️ AND we got our special poodle pup, Bentley, from you. We were always thankful for him. Love from Sandy & Cy xxoo

Grace,
I remember:
When Grace and Don brought Linda into our lives. She soon became a member of the Stopa and Merry group of kids.
She made my wedding dress.
She took Mary on trips to Kamloops. They stopped at our place a couple of times.
One time Grace and Mary got into fight over a canasta game:) They carried the fight on to Wanda and Pete's!!
I have been happy to spend time with her and Donna. They go to Kamloops to make chicken and dumplings for Uncle Willy. We all go for dinner, it's a great time! It usually includes 4 generations of family.
She is my last auntie and I'm happy to have had a chance to get to know her as pair of aging ladies.
