I have known Giuseppe (Joe) since the summer of 1967 when we met at mass in Queensborough. We became instant friends that day and since that day we have been good friends. In January 1973, Joe was the first person I hired at Gastaldo Concrete. Joe went from a laborer, to a pump operator, and eventually a supervisor. When Joe became a supervisor, we would start our day at 4:30am together. We worked together well and enjoyed many, many laughs. Joe was a hard worker who respected everyone, had the biggest heart, and most of all was hilarious. Joe, you are irreplaceable. You will be missed very much. Rest in peace my friend.

Our hearts are filled with sadness at the passing of Giuseppe. Giuseppe has been part of our lives since 1973 when he became one of the first to join Gastaldo Concrete. From his early days as a labourer and then pump operator, to his later days as a supervisor, Giuseppe was always a loyal, hardworking, valued member of the Gastaldo team. Giuseppe was many things to many people. He had a heart of gold with a lovable rascal streak. He loved to tease people and make them laugh – often at his own expense. The truth is that Giuseppe was much more than a valued employee to us. Giuseppe became our friend and we loved him like family. Life will never be the same without you Giuseppe (Beppe/Rosso/Joe). Rest in peace, dear friend.

Barb, Daniella, Christina, Jason,
My sincere condolences for the passing of Joe. I have fond memories of Joe when he first arrived in Queensborough as a young man. Joe was unique and stood out with his head of flaming red hair. He was quick to make friends with his outgoing personality. We were a bunch of young people that hung around together and attended the Church bazaars, dances and events. Joe was always fun to be around. He will be greatly missed.

I wish you could have been with us forever. You opened doors beyond the world I knew, creating opportunities for success I never imagined. You and your family welcomed me and shared your lives with me. You became my family not by blood but by trust and love throughout years of friendship. It’s not the heartache that hurts most it’s the fear of what a future holds without you in it.

I had the pleasure of knowing Joe through our connections in the concrete industry. I always looked forward to our almost daily calls regarding scheduling and coordinating of his pumps with our concrete truck supply. It was very special when he was on the sites I visited. Joe was a great guy and will be sorely missed.

Kudos to one of legend behind Gastaldo Concrete, a good man who poured heart and soul into the business for five decades! πŸ™Œ The impact extends beyond concrete – it's in the friendships forged, the foundations of trust laid, and the legacy that stands tall today. Here's to Joe who not only built structures but also bridges between people. Cheers to 50 years of dedication and good Friendships 🏒🀝
