It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Eva Schmidt. Eva passed away peacefully in Maple Ridge on Feb 26th, 2020 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She came to Canada in 1966 and worked as a nurse for many years. Eva loved all creatures, big and small and adored her two grandchildren Mattias and Nicholas. She is also survived by daughter Virginia, son Marcus (Linda), brother Otto, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial/open house will be held at her residence on Saturday March 7th, 20799 119th Avenue, Maple Ridge, 1 to 3pm in the common room.

We ask that in lieu of flowers, that any donations be made to the wonderful people at Pets Matter who have loved and taken care of Eva's most precious companion Max during her illness, http://www.petsmatter.org/aboutus.html or to the incredible people at the McKenny Creek Hospice who ensured she was comfortable and treated Eva with the utmost dignity and respect in her final days.
