It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Berna Gooch. Berna is predeceased by her husband Sam, and sons David, Gary, and Michael. She is survived by her three remaining children Marilyn (Sam), Wayne (Christine), and Colleen, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Berna's passions were antiques and dolls. A special thank you to the staff on 7 West at Lions Gate Hospital.

Grandma taught me what I know about antiques and thrifting, and was a role model for showing me how to be a strong woman whose voice was heard. She also loved to enjoy the simple things in life like eating pastries and sweets (the good stuff) and always had a good strong black tea around - her secrets to longevity kept her strong for 94 years. I will miss chatting with her and laughing about life, my dad Dave Gooch (may he rest in peace), politics, and her bird. She was there for me during the lockdowns and helped me cope with being a caregiver and then a widow (Rest in Peace, Aaron) as she had also walked that path with my grandpa, Sam Gooch. She is a true legend and I will cherish all of my memories of her. Rest in Peace, Grandma Gooch.
