Anthony "Tony" Hawkshaw

After a long battle with cancer, Tony passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Vancouver, Canada on November 4th, 2023. Tony’s life was filled with travel, incredible career achievements, family and friends located around the globe.

When he was home, he was always happiest in Whistler or one of BC’s many golf courses. He loved enjoying and sharing all of Whistler’s outdoor lifestyle, including chalk drawing the driveway with the kids. Tony’s family will miss his summer BBQ and Christmas dinners.

He is survived by his loving wife Robin, his children Mike, Meg, Steve & Gord and his mother Barbara. His 7 grandchildren, his daughter-in-laws, nieces and nephew will also miss him dearly.

At this time there are no plans for a public memorial, instead the family will be celebrating his life privately.

In lieu of flowers, Tony requested that you consider a donation to one of the following causes close to his heart:

In Canada, help advance cancer research and care for all British Columbians. http://donate.bccancerfoundation.com/goto/AnthonyHawkshaw
In Peru consider sponsoring a child or donate to support the ongoing work of World Vision https://www.worldvision.org

Most of my childhood was spent with my two cousins, Doug Cota who was born in May 1952 and Tony December 1952. I was born in August 1952. They both passed this year. Memories of the years we spent together at my parents farm together were some of the best years of my life. Family separations' sent the three of us on different life journeys. Doug as a successful business man, Tony as a respected executive and myself as an author later in life after retirement. I reconnected with Doug several years ago along with Tony's brother Michael before his passing. The last I talked to Tony was in 1978 at our grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. Even though I haven't seen Tony for the past 45 years I never forgot my 1st cousin. Grandma and Grandpa would have been so proud of him. Gone but never forgotten my friend. I only wish we could have played golf together. Rick Revelle
