A loving wife to Don, mother to Donni(Steve), Ron (Robyn), and Diane(Andrew), Grandmother to Les, Shane, Dustin, Shawn, and Ryland.
Bernice was proudest of her 13 Greatgrandchildren. She was Aunty Bernice to numerous nieces and nephews. She was best known for her service within the ocmmunity, her time as a
licensed Practical Nurs, as a Hospital Emplyees Union rep,and more recent. as the Matron of the Billy Miner Pub.
Bernice embraced her local pioneer heritage, she was one of the last surviving grandchildren of John A. McIver, the first land owner, and founding father of Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
She had a love of the outdoors, her community, social activism, and especially for her extensive family and friends. An avid world traveller, she would encourage everyone to see British Columbia and Canada first. The family would like to thank the staff of Baily House for their loving care in her final days and over the past three and half years.
The sweet remembrance of the just, shall flourish when they lay in dust.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 6th, 2019, 1:00 pm @ Burnett Fellowship
